This embroidery commemorates the October 1917 Bolshevik revolution.

The Cyrllic letters “CCCP” (SSSR or USSR) are on top; “October Revolution 46 years” is on the bottom; three women’s names are on the left; and three men’s names are on the right. An iconic image of a woman cotton harvester holding a bale of cotton on her head is the centerpiece.

This embroidery appears to be an original design.
